How do you get to Wonderland? This Alice and Wonderland creative concept was the first thing that came to mind when I seen Penisular Park in NE Portland for the first time. Varieties of roses for as far as you can see lined the hedged courtyard, & was a literal picture perfect day!

Claire (@clairiful) and I met after working and connecting at various cannabis industry events over the years. We have collaborated on projects in the past she always brings such amazing energy! Not only is she a boss babe but she is also owner of Chaotic Art Studios ( @chaoticallyclairiful ) based in Portland,OR. Check out her amazing custom paintings! Naturally the first concept that came to mind was "painting the roses red" and the final photos are some of my favorites from this set. The next concept was based upon Alice in actual reality sleeping but dreaming she is in Wonderland and all the surrounding props are part of her dreams. The deck of cards was inspired by the queens guards and only organic PNW mushrooms is the type of mushroom we used for this photoshoot.Sourcing props for creative photoshoots is one of my favorite ways to elevate and enhance overall end results. Claire also came prepared with her own props packed her brushes and artists palette from home, this is the type of energy I love!
Most all props are second hand from garage or estate sales. We met at 1pm on a Saturday and the park was full of picnics so we were quick when we had a spot to capture a moment. I like to take photos from a storytelling perspective and prefer candid moments to posed ones. I often will work around the scene to capture multiple perspectives within one frame especially during limited shoot times and space.Every photo session is accompanied by a personalized moodboard with styling and posing suggestions to help you feel for confident and to get a feel for the vibe of the session before our final shoot date. We were late for a "very very unbirthday" and needed to stop for some cake to bring to the party. Its hard for me to resist buying miniature sets of anything and the baby dessert tray was a must have! Sweets are a requirement for Tea Time for it's only right.
